Spin & Flow was first founded in Ipswich in 2022 by Ally Carlton-Smith, an experienced pole instructor from California. Spin & Flow began as a small home studio and then blossomed into a thriving pole community in Ipswich with our first brick and mortor studio opening in 2023, then expanding to our second location launching in Colchester in 2026. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive community for women and LGBTQ+ students to learn the art of pole dance, improve their strength and flexibility, and tap into their sensuality and confidence.

At Spin & Flow we are a community and we love welcoming new students into our space. We know how nerve-wracking it can be to show up to your first class—we've all been there! But once you're here, we'll do our best to help you feel comfortable and enjoy your time here. Our vibe is friendly, authentic, and of course sexy (but don't let that scare you!). We want our students to feel at home and that means creating a space with warm lighting, friendly faces, and full acceptance of our bodies and ourselves.
